RECIPE: Base Cards - 8 1/2 X 4 1/4, SCORED AT 5 1/2
You will need to cut 2 mattes at 5 1/4 x 4
One will be used for the outside
One will be used for the inside sentiment
Top Flap of Card:
On the short side of your card (4 1/4) - mark the middle which is 2 1/8
Take that point and place in the canal of your trimmer
Take the top point on the fold of the card and place
it in the trimmer. You are creating a slant on your card -
slice your card. You have the first triangle. Do this
exact measurement on the other side.
Now you have your 2 triangles to use in your card.
Now take the first matte and cut exactly the same way.
Add the larger triangle to the top of your card.
Take the 2 mattes and add them to the card triangles
you cut.
Inside Matte:
Add your sentiment close to the top of the matte so
that you cannot see it when the card is closed. Add to your
card.
